What are the minimum requirements to view SVG maps?

To use the SVG maps at a minimum you need the following:

  • Adobe SVG Viewer version 3.0 or above - Free download available
  • An internet browser compatible with the viewer (e.g. Internet Explorer v.5, Firefox, etc.)

I'm using Firefox version 1.5 and cannot view the maps.

There is a known bug that requires users to download a Beta version of the SVG viewer. Check the correct version of the SVG plug-in has been installed (version 6.0), and check the plug-in is activated within the browser settings. The SVG file type should be available in the list of browser settings. Get version 6.0 from Adobe. For further information, see Can I use the Adobe SVG Viewer in Netscape, Mozilla, or Firefox?

Can I use the Adobe SVG Viewer in Netscape, Mozilla, or Firefox?

Firefox 1.5 has a native implementation of SVG and GeoWise are working towards making InstantAtlas compatible with this. For the moment though version 6.0 of the Adobe SVG plug-in is required. Get version 6.0 from Adobe. For further information, see I'm using Firefox version 1.5 and cannot view the maps.
