Professor Michael Goldacre Scientific Director
Michael is scientific director of the South East Public Health Observatory. He is also a Professor of Public Health at Oxford University and is Director of the University Unit of Health-Care Epidemiology. |
Dr Alison Hill Programme Director
Alison is programme director of the South East Public Health Observatory. She is responsible for developing SEPHO's strategy in line with the national public health intelligence and information strategy, managing observatory staff, and ensuring delivery of the annual work programme. |
Dr Harry Rutter
Deputy Director
Harry Rutter is a consultant in public health and deputy director of SEPHO. He is responsible for SEPHO's lead roles in obesity, physical activity and transport. |
Sally Brodhurst
Health Improvement / Partnerships Manager
Sally’s role is to develop relationships for SEPHO with partner organisations across the South East region; to interpret, disseminate and promote the new Health Profiles; and to co-ordinate the publications process and resource collections for SEPHO. |
Louise Farmer
Business Support Administrator
Louise provides administrative and business support to the South East Public Health Observatory and undertakes day to day monitoring of financial transactions and budgets as well as liaising with HR regarding personnel issues and recruitment of new staff. |
Maggie Graham
Team Administrator
Maggie provides administrative assistance to the Health Profiles national project and the SEPHO team. She organises the quarterly SEPHIG meetings and looks after registration of new users of the SEPHO website. |
Amanda Kesseboom

Amanda provides support to the SEPHO and Supporting Public Health Director, Dr Alison Hill. |
Steve Morgan
Information Analyst
Steve assists in the development and delivery of the HES Safe Haven Service. His responsibilities include ensuring data integrity and maintenance of secure and sensitive datasets. |
Isobel Perry
Public Health Information Analyst
Isobel provides analytical support for SEPHO two days a week, and for PHRU three days a week, two of which are spent in Reading working for the Berkshire Public Health Network. She works with a broad range of information sources. |

Di is responsible for leading public health programmes, strategic planning, organisational structure and governance; marketing and communication. |
Briony Tatem
Information Analyst
Briony provides Public Health analysis and interpretation at a local, regional and national level. Her lead areas are sexual health, updating information sources and the Census. She is also responsible for analysing Hospital Episode Statistics, informing on issues of disclosure and is the representative to the Kent and Medway network. |
Jo Watson
Head of Information
Jo leads the analytical function of the PHO. Her key areas are the Health Poverty Index, SEPHIG and GIS. |

Kellie Peters
Programme Manager
Kellie is responsible for the day-to-day management of the DTMU to ensure that the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with both the NTA and the Home Office are met to a consistently high standard. |
Sue Dales
Database Administrator
Sue's role is to receive data from agencies and process it to be uploaded to the regional office on a monthly basis. She produces reports and talks agencies through submitting reports in the correct format. |
Caroline Ridler
Public Health Information Analyst
Caroline’s role involves liaising with D(A)ATs and regional NTA ensuring that their standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements are met, and where appropriately linking with the SEPHO data resources in getting the most from the NDTMS data. |
Laura Kesseboom
Drug Intervention Record Administrator
Laura receives forms from prisons and treatment agencies which she then processes onto DIRweb. She then uploads these forms to the Home Office once a month. |

Regina Lally
NTDMS South East Liaison Officer
Regina is responsible for providing training and support to drug treatment providers across the South East region to ensure accurate and timely NDTMS submissions to the DTMU. She acts as the link between the treatment providers, the DATs and the DTMU by enabling drug treatment
agencies to provide the range of information required for national and local monitoring purposes. |
Michael Wallington
NDTMS Technical Liaison Officer
Michael provides training and support to drug treatment providers across the South East region to ensure accurate and timely NDTMS submissions. Michael advises on technical issues relating to NDTMS such as providing support during new software procurement, and maintains the DTMU website. |
