SEPHO Governance

Commissioning group
The work of SEPHO is determined by the SEPHO commissioning group which is chaired by one of the Regional Directors of Public Health. The group meets quarterly, alternately face to face and telephone. It receives regular progress reports on the workplan.

Solutions for Public Health
SEPHO is part of Solutions for Public Health, an NHS business unit hosted by Milton Keynes PCT. The National Obesity Observatory, the Drug Treatment Monitoring Unit and the Health Profiles programme are part of SEPHO, and members of the Association of Public Health Observatories.

SEPHO strategy
SEPHO is currently renewing its strategic plan, which will be discussed at the SEPHO commissioning group meeting November 2009.

SEPHO Workplan
SEPHO agrees a workplan with the commissioning group at the beginning of each year.

Peer review
The Association of Public Health Observatories is running a peer review programme for all English PHOs supported by IDeA. SEPHO was the first of the PHOs to be peer reviewed.
